Mercedes-Maybach has released a short teaser video of a Maybach SUV concept that it will be bringing to the Beijing Motor Show in a couple of weeks time. Called the “Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury”, it’s said to combine the “typical strengths of an exclusive high-end saloon and an SUV”.
As we reported a few days ago, the Mercedes-Maybach SUV is currently out testing for durability, and while it’s just a concept officially, but it will be our best look yet at the new SUV to come from the super-luxury division of Mercedes-Benz.
Lashings of chrome, hand-stitched leather, wood surfaces – from what we can see in the video below it all looks suitably luxurious.
But we can’t really see the size or space from the video – it’s just a little too close up to make out an overall picture.
However, Mercedes-Maybach has revealed an interior sketch which helps us to visualise the cabin a little better.
From the information we can gather, it seems the new Mercedes-Maybach SUV will be based on the GLS class, meaning it’s large enough for three rows, though we’re not sure whether it will actually have all seven seats of the vehicle it’s based on.
All the details will be revealed when the new concept goes on display in Beijing, and we’ll keep you up to date with the new Maybach SUV.
