The 2018 Nissan X-Trail has added a new 2.0-litre to the range, available in both TS and TL trim levels. Replacing the existing 1.6-litre diesel, the new 2.0-litre diesel produces 130kW and 380Nm, and consumes 6.0L/100km on the ADR test cycle.
Running through a CVT, the new diesel powers all four wheels and comes with start-stop tech as standard. The MY18 X-Trail now gets Intelligent Emergency Braking across the range as standard, with the Ti petrol and TL diesel variants gaining pedestrian detection.
The diesel TS has front, front-side and side curtain SRS airbags, as well as stability control, Forward Collision Warning and two ISOFIX car seat anchors. The diesel TL also receives blind spot warning and lane departure warning.
The TL also includes reversing camera with guidelines, a system that Nissan calls “Intelligent Around-View® Monitor with Moving Object Detection”, sat-nav and cruise control
The X-Trail range kicks off from $28,490 (plus on roads) for the petrol, while the diesels begin at $35,990 (plus on roads).
